SafeSpace started with a small observation: almost every room built for ambitious people in India is a room where you are supposed to be winning.
You go, you say the good version, you collect three business cards and a follow request, and you drive home no less alone than when you left. It is not that these rooms are bad. It is that they are answering a different question — how do I meet people — when the question a lot of us actually have is: where can I say the true thing.
So we made something narrower. Twelve people, matched carefully, meeting in the same room every month with a facilitator whose only job is to keep it honest. Everything else — the dinners, the retreats, the pottery evenings, the comedy nights — exists because twelve people who have started trusting each other eventually want to do something besides sit in a circle.
SafeSpace is built and run by Influence, a founder authority and reputation firm working across India and the UAE.
Every member signs these at application. A brand called SafeSpace that doesn't enforce its own rules is just a dinner club with a good name.
Chatham House. Use what you heard, never say who said it. Breaking this ends a membership immediately, with no refund and no argument.
No selling, no fundraising, no recruiting inside a circle. First time, your host will speak to you. Second time, you're out. This is the rule that protects everything else.
Forty-eight hours' notice. A silent no-show is a seat somebody else wanted. Two of them and you lose priority booking for a quarter.
Most of the time people need the room to listen, not solve. Hosts are trained to stop the room from rushing to fix someone.
Per event, opt-in, and asked in a way that makes saying no easy. Several members would not be here otherwise.
Every member has a private line to a named person who is not their host. Reports are answered within two working days, always by a human.
SafeSpace is run by Influence, from Greater Noida West, Gurugram and Dubai.
Anyone can book a restaurant. What makes a circle work is facilitation — knowing when to interrupt, when to sit in the silence, and how to stop the loudest person running the evening.
Every host goes through our training before they hold a room, and we won't open a new circle until there's a trained host free to run it. That constraint slows growth down on purpose. It is also the single thing that stops a community like this from quietly getting worse as it gets bigger.
Everyone spends the first meeting deciding whether the room can hold the true version of them. By the third, they've decided. That's the evening we build everything else around.
Read whySafeSpace events are funded by a small number of partners. What they get is presence and a report on who was actually there. What they never get is a Circle, a list of names, or anyone's contact details unless that person hands them over themselves.
What we won't do
Partners cannot buy their way into a Circle. They cannot address the room unless the format is built for it. They cannot receive a member list. And we turn down categories that would make a specific circle unsafe — no lenders in the Between Jobs room, no recruiters in the founders' rooms, no alcohol brands at a retreat.
